National institute of Chemistry
The conference will be hosted at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) was established in 1946 and is now an internationally recognized research organization in the field of chemistry and related disciplines. With its high-level research equipment such as spectrometers, ultra-high resolution microscopes, chromatography systems etc., and 17 departments the institute is active in all areas of chemistry. NIC was also the first research institution in Slovenia to obtain ISO 9001 standards in December 2003.
Ljubljana is a city that will surprise you and exceed your expectations. It is unique – small by surface area, but huge in terms of hospitality and quality of life. Numerous changes have happened in a short period, which is one of the reasons Ljubljana has become European Green Capital 2016.
The cityscape, guarded by the prominent Ljubljana Castle, was shaped by the widely-celebrated architect Jože Plečnik. Whether you are a lover of culture and art or seek culinary delights, Ljubljana has something to offer that will not fail to impress. Have a walk along the Ljubljanica River, stop for a coffee and don’t forget to visit the farmers’ market.
